Hotel to Home // The Standard Hi-Line
The Standard Hi-Line, in New York, New York is our first stop on this hotel-to-home adventure. We LOVE the location of this hotel. It is located right on the edge of the meatpacking district, with some of the best shopping in New York. These retailers are adjacent to the HiLine which you can enjoy during off-hours as well as Chelsea Market. Be sure to enjoy a HiLine happy hour at the Standard Biergarten, the rooftop at Catch, or The Tippler under Chelsea Market on a cold day. The Boom Boom Room on top of the Standard is an iconic lounge not to be missed. My husband and I love to take in the view while sipping on artisan cocktails. I typically roam around and obsess over the design details of the space. I prefer enjoying the Boom Boom Room during the day, at night the sparkling lounge lives up to its name, and we rarely make it out past midnight these days.
Water Closet Chic // Tub or No Tub
One thing that is certain, we are all home now more than ever and with that our surroundings need to be flexible to carry us through the different seasons we will be encountering in the months ahead. A question many homeowners face is a debate that has sparked new ideas when it comes to your master bath. To have a tub or to not have a tub? That is the question.
The Edge Products // Showers 101
This blog entry is dedicated to my good friend Jean Butler, with who I am beyond grateful to have crossed paths at the beginning of my interior design career. She is the person who introduced me to my love of bath design and walked me through the eccentricities and choices clients have when designing their dream shower.
