At Evensen Design, founder Erica Volkmer has intentionally built a boutique team that allows the studio to remain deeply involved in every project we take on. By keeping our practice small and focused, we’re able to maintain a highly personal and hands-on design process, working closely with clients from the earliest concepts through the final layers that bring a space to life.
Our size allows us to stay nimble, collaborative, and immersed in the details—ensuring every project receives the creativity, attention, and care that thoughtful interiors deserve.
Erica Volkmer
Principal & Founder
Erica Volkmer founded Evensen Design with the belief that interiors should feel layered, personal, and a little unexpected. Known for her instinctive use of color, texture, and collected pieces, Erica approaches each project with a balance of thoughtful structure and creative curiosity.
Her work often blends vintage and contemporary elements, creating spaces that feel lived-in rather than overly composed. As creative lead of the studio, Erica guides the overall vision for each project while working closely with the team and clients to bring every space to life.
The Studio
Evensen Design operates as a collaborative practice where ideas are explored collectively and refined through a shared design process. Our team works closely with architects, builders, artisans, and trusted vendors to ensure each project is thoughtfully executed from concept through installation.
This collaborative approach allows the studio to move fluidly between creative vision and technical execution—resulting in spaces that feel personal, layered, and enduring.
